Round Lake Goddard School Donates to Save-a-Pet
After a week of excitement and anticipation, The Round Lake Goddard School invited Save-a-Pet to visit during their Community Games Open House. Outside of each classroom during the past week there were decorated boxes the students filled with various food items as well as blankets and toys to be donated to Save-a-Pet.
The Goddard School also donated a check for $250. “We love to give back to our community and we incorporate it into our curriculum. We hope to inspire the students with a lifelong commitment to giving back,” said John Burnett, owner of the Round Lake Goddard School.
“We are very grateful for their support,” said Lillian “lil” Messner. “It is always nice when we see the community get involved.”
Lil and Susan Stella brought in Sergeant Pepper, a Mastiff and Am staff (American Staffordshire Terrier) mix. “He is so good with the kids,” said Susan. “He really enjoys them.”
After playing with the kids for 2 hours, Sergeant Pepper was ready for a long afternoon nap. Hopefully he will find a home soon!
