Find a variety of fall treats at the Grayslake Fall Farmers Market, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays Oct. 13 through Dec. 22 in Centennial Park on downtown Center Street.
"It's going to be our largest fall market to date," said Market Manager Julie Jason.
"We have new vendors contacting us weekly to be part of the market because we have proven to be a viable farmers market in the area."
Grayslake Farmers Market, which has held spring/summer markets since 1993. The fall market gives area residents even more to look forward to.
The fall market will feature 19 vendors.
New vendors to the fall market include: Friends Country Market, Nana's Rum Cakes, Frankie's Famous Hot Dogs and MyPYES.
Favorite spring/summer market vendors who are back for the fall market include: Nick the Farmer, Wild Tree, Wild Flour, The Meat Goat Geneva Lakes, Pampered Chef, Maggie's Munchie's Munchies, Lester's Bison Farm, All About Appetizers, River Valley Ranch, The Cheese People, Soap of the Earth, Glunz Family Winery & Cellars.
This year's spring/summer market also welcomed New Tea Gallerie and Kate's Pie Shop, who will also be at the fall market.
"Our strategy for the 2012 season has been to provide a consistent market experience for our shoppers," said Jason, noting that no matter the weather conditions, the market will go on and the vendors have vowed to be present each week.
Jason said the Grayslake Farmers Market is thankful for all the support from the business community and community at-large.
Market-goers will want to stop at the Friends of the Grayslake Farmers Market table to enter two holiday drawings, one for a 20-pound Thanksgiving turkey from Farmer Nicks and another for "Market Bucks."
