A fumble on their opponent’s 1-yard line after an impressive opening drive was only the beginning of a series of unfortunate events for the Grayslake North Knights. They lost 35-24 to the Crystal Lake Central Tigers on Thursday.

Five turnovers and an impressive running performance by CLC's Matt MacAlpine proved too much for the Knights to overcome. Despite a lead of 24-21 in the 4th quarter with under five minutes left in the game, another costly Knights fumble turned the momentum to the Tiger’s favor. The team then scored 14 unanswered points to hand the Knights their third loss of the season (4-3 overall, 3-1 Fox division).

Here, photographer Kyle Durigan captured some highlights of the game in his photo gallery.
