The Grayslake North Knights' defeated Prairie Ridge 2-1 on Saturday to clinch the Class 3A sectional final.
For the first time in its history, the Grayslake North softball team (25-8-1) advances to the supersectional. The team will play at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 5 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. The Knights go up against the winner of Monday's Belvidere North sectional final battle between Marengo, the defending state champ, and Sterling.
