There has been a tragic end to the case of missing Joey Frase.

The Grayslake community rallied around the family of Joey Frase, who went missing early Sunday morning after leaving a party. Tragically, his family has reported that he was found deceased late Tuesday morning.
"Sadly I must announce that Joey's body has been recovered. My family is devastated and asks that at this time you please respect our privacy while we deal with our loss. You cannot imagine how much we have appreciated the support from all of you in our efforts to find him. The outpouring of compassion from friends, and the community has really touched us," posted his family on Facebook.
Residents, friends and family have been sharing their condolences on the Joey Frase Facebook and on Patch's initial post.
"Joey was always very respectful. He was a really nice kid. My heart just goes out to his family," said Jason Freeman, whose son was friends with Joey.
"My heart goes out 2 his family!! Will keep u in thoughts and prayers!" posted Kimberly on Patch.
"My heart is breaking for the family," posted Amy Rozzoni-Moffatt on the Grayslake Patch Facebook.
"Beautiful smile on a wonderful young man. Friend to both my sons, and a friend to me. He is deeply deeply missed. All my love to his family," posted Rose Agnello-Grant on Patch Facebook.

I didn't know him. I never laughed with him. Never cried with him. Now I find myself saddened by his death. Emotions are a unquie feeling. I am reminded today how blessed we all are, how short ones young life can be. I feel as though I could have done more to help, to protect or save this young mans life, though i had no means. I don't know. I will pray for the days to come that every person who he graced with his I'm sure wonderful presents be blessed with the Lord's hand in helping his friends and family though this most difficult time. :( God Bless. ~ R.I.P Joey Frase

He was a great kid who was always upbeat and had a joke to share. His smile could light up a room. I know he will be missed by many. Sometimes there are just no words. My heart breaks for his family. My condolences and prayers go out to them. Rest in peace, Joey.

I met Joey briefly when having some work done on my car at Anthony. Such a nice kid and the only one who I trusted taking my car around.
