Tom the Turkey to Lead Farmers Market Food Drive Saturday

The Grayslake Fall Farmers Market Thanksgiving Ambassador, "Tom the Turkey," will make a special appearance at Saturday's market to help collect items for local food pantries.

A food drive will be held at the Grayslake Fall Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10. The market is seeking donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items for local pantries.

Donation boxes will be set up at the market near the Friends table. Please bring a bag if you can!

All items collected will be delivered to the pantry during the week of November 12--just in time for Thanksgiving boxes and baskets. Tis the season to share your blessings. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who are most in need in our community.

Helping out at the food drive will the market's Thanksgiving Ambassador "Tom the Turkey," who will take photos with kids along with market mascot "Farmer Gray" and "Pilgrim Lady Lauren."

There will also be a drawing at noon for Thanksgiving Holiday Market Bucks.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, please send a check payable to the Grayslake Farmers Market and write "Food Drive" on the face of the check.

Our mailing address is Grayslake Farmers Market, 100 South Atkinson Road, Unit 116-232, Grayslake, IL 60030.
