Patch Editor Cristel Mohrman captured the incident on film just after 6:30 p.m.

"The video really doesn't do it justice," Mohrman said. "I think it was one of the planes' final loops. I shot this about five minutes after we first heard the noise.

"Everyone in Jimmy John's, including the employees, gathered at the door and on the sidewalk to see what was going on. It was so loud, we thought a plane was landing in the parking lot."

According to the report, the jets forced the Barrington plane to head back to its home airport of Millrose Farm.

"The restaurant is pretty much next to Millrose, which explains why it caught our attention," Mohrman said.

Obama was back in Chicago celebrating his birthday at the Aragon Ballroom Aug. 3.
