A new group, Northwest Suburbs Organizing for Action (NWSOFA), invites progressive-minded residents of the northwest suburbs to watch President Obama deliver his State of the Union address this Tuesday, February 12th at 7:00 pm at Fox & Hound, 918 W. Dundee Rd. in Arlington Heights.
There is no charge. Food and drink will be available for purchase. NWSOFA was formed by volunteers who worked on President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign who want to continue to work for progress and social justice.

Progress & social justice? I don't remember hearing that during the Benghazi attacks.
Will this support group help the President bring about more jobs, or just more debt?
Its almost funny to think that these folks think their participation will actually make a difference, or even get the Presidents attention. Fools.

Mrs. H, I'm sorry you are so angry and cynical. I hope you will watch the President's speech tonight with an open mind.

So the solution is to sit at a computer keyboard and whine? No thanks, Mrs. H.

Speaking of whining, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you... Marilyn. Always full of happiness and good cheer. Always an insightful comment to add to the most difficult of subjects. Thank you for your in depth analysis of a group of American citizens who actually want to get off their butts and do something.

It's unfortunate that people label the act of being involved with the political process as "creepy and nauseating" while others call the participants "fools."

Matt Flamm is a far left wing obama kool-aid drinker. He will probably lead a circle jerk with his comrades when the "chosen one" appears.

I met Matt Flamm during his campaign a couple of years ago. Rudest candidate I have ever met. Asked him one simple, non-threatening question and he scurried off saying that he "had voters to meet." Well, Mr. Flamm, here is one voter whose vote you will never receive.

Ah - goodness.. I guess everyone can have a bad day. I have worked with Matt for 6 years now and he is a wonderful person. His organization lives by " respect, empower, include" and I'll take that message any day. Thanks for organizing this Matt - see you tonight!

Looking forward to progress, Matt! Thanks for organizing this event. It is encouraging to know that there is such a large, connected community of progressive-minded folks in the area.
No Kool-aid for me, I'll have a glass of wine, thanks.

There continues and there will always be much white noise out there. That is the nature of politics. For those who genuinely wish to sort through the static I suggest you objectively watch MSNBC and Fox News for a week or two and compare.
