Political labels have ruined America. How about voting based on who will do the best job? Why is that kind of common sense so hard for this country's people to grasp?

I swear, the state of things in this country sometimes makes me think evolution is nonsense and that people are de-evolving.

Tim, I can not agree with you more. Even though I am a registered republican, I have voted for democrates in the past and I am sure I will also do so in the future. People need to vote more with their conscience and with a blind faith to one party or another.

Exactly @SJ and @Tim. No one party will get us out of this mess. The track record of both parties is abysmal at times and better in others.

Here in IL we have seen the effects of one party rule. The state is corrupt, broke, and debt is continuing to mount faster and faster, yet, Madigan, Quinn and Cullerton continue the same disastrous policies that are driving jobs and people out of Illinois. Any Representative or Senator who will go to Springfield and vote to keep Madigan & Cullerton in leadership, does not deserve to be sent to Springfield. We need a leadership change fast here in IL before we hit the point where our debt can never be repaid. Some think we are already there. Whether we are or not, we are at a tipping point.

So Lennie if you truely believe what you just wrote, why would you only attack the Democratic party? I have yet in all the posts you ever put forth, seen you attack the republican party or even your own tea party. They are all F-ed up and in it for the wrong reasons. There is no way our country is going to recover if we continue to cut taxes for the "job creators" when these job creators are only keeping the money for themselfs and not creating any jobs. They stock market is at an all time high, yet jobs are not being created. Where is this profit going? My guess some more gold plated toilet seats. If you watched the video, I would hope you would be as appaled as I am at the Republicans who have stopped at nothing and passed nothing just to make Obama a one term president. They have been obstructionists for the last two years, and it has cost this country dearly. Beleive me I do not think the Democrats are perfect either. THat is the reason I choose based on my beliefs of who will do best for our country, our state, our city, our school board. I did not vote for Quinn, I can't stand him either. I did vote for Obama, and I will Vote for Obama again over Mitt Romney. Again if you truely believe what you wrote above, it is time for you to show it. I sometimes think you are an intelligent person, You could do more with this blog if you present both sides and not just one side. Time for you to rise above the b.s. and use this blog for good.
