Bears' Wives Party Brings Holiday Cheer to SEDOL Students

On December 17, the Chicago Bears and their wives/significant others visited SEDOL students for a very special day.

On Monday, December 17th, SEDOL students were treated to a very special day with the Chicago Bears and their wives/significant others on behalf of the SEDOL (Special Education District of Lake County) Foundation. The Bears' Wives Party has been a highlight of the school year for many SEDOL students and for good reason.

This year, Chicago Bears players Nick Roach, D.J. Moore, J.T. Thomas, Anthony Walters, Dane Sanzenbacher, Matt Spaeth, Anthony Adams, and a surprise appearance by Brian Urlacher gave SEDOL students an unforgettable day, just in time for the holidays.

SEDOL students were treated to a lunch from Emil's, served by Bears players and their wives, then took part in a Q & A session with the football stars. Throughout the day, the students were able to try on official Bears jerseys and equipment and take part in festive crafts, provided by the wives/significant others of the Bears. Several students were even lucky enough to play catch with Brian Urlacher and Nick Roach.

At the end of the day, the students went home with a gift bag filled with study supplies, toiletries, snacks, and toys, yet perhaps the greatest present of the day was getting to spend time with the Chicago Bears.

On behalf of the SEDOL foundation and the many children we serve, we would like to thank the Chicago Bears and their wives/significant others for hosting such a wonderful day and for putting smiles on the faces of our special needs children.
