Midtown Athletic Club in Bannockburn held a Generation Gap Tennis Tournament, in which teams were required to have at least a 20-year age gap. The event, which took place January 17-19, finished with Jeff Bernales of Lindenhurst and Sam Gudeman of Gurnee as its first place winners.
