President and CEO of The Washington Group speaks at Gurnee's Computer Systems Institute Graduation

Computer Systems Institute invited CEO and President, Joyce Washington, of The Washington Group, to be their keynote speaker at this graduation.Ms. Washington is the President and CEO of the Washington Group, a healthcare consulting firm and has directed strategic and tactical efforts for several world class health care organizations.  She is no stranger to CSI. She has graced the campus several times as a motivational speaker and mentor to our student body. Ms. Washington has successfully held a variety of executive positions including Vice President of Advocate Health Care; Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center; President and CEO of River Edge Hospital and President & CEO of Chicago Lakeshore Hospital.  She began her career as a nurse at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia and Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC and served as a candy striper in her earlier years. Ms. Washington also campaigned for the office of IL Lt. Governor in 2002, IL State Senate in 2004, and the 2nd Congressional District in 2013.
