Yingling Announces New “Suggest-A-Bill” Feature on Website

HAINESVILLE, Ill. – In an effort to increase community input in the legislative process, state Rep. Sam Yingling (D-Hainesville) announced his website now allows residents of the 62nd District who have recommendations for new legislation to submit their ideas online.  Yingling’s website can be accessed at www.repsamyingling.com.

“I’m excited to announce the “Suggest-A-Bill” initiative that provides residents with an easy and convenient process to suggest new legislative ideas on my website,” Yingling said. “To be effective in Springfield, I need to hear directly from my constituents on the issues that they care about. I encourage residents to take advantage of this new initiative as a way of directly communicating their legislative recommendations to me.”

Since taking office, Yingling has made it a top priority to be accessible to the residents of the 62nd District by hosting community events and extended office hours, and spending countless hours talking with constituents at their doors. The online “Suggest-A-Bill” feature provides an alternative opportunity for residents who are unable to attend these events, or simply find the use of the internet to be a more convenient source of communication.
