Yingling Delivers $10,000 Grant for Third Lake Roads

HAINESVILLE, Ill. – In an effort to improve local infrastructure, State Rep. Sam Yingling partnered with the Village of Third Lake to secure a state grant for $10,000 to be used for local infrastructure improvements and repairs. The grant comes from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

“I am proud that I was able to secure a state grant for the Village of Third Lake which will help provide needed road improvements and repairs,” Yingling said. “Too often Third Lake has been overlooked.  I made a commitment that I would fight for our fair share of State funds and help ease our local property tax burden.  This grant will help do both.”

Since taking office, Yingling has worked tirelessly to be accessible to his constituents and to partner with various levels of government in order to bring better services to his district. Yingling presented the grant at the Village of Third Lake board meeting on Monday, March 17.

“This is another great example of the progress that can be made when all levels of government work together,” Yingling said. “This money will have a very positive effect for the Village of Third Lake and I’m glad we were able to work together to make it a reality.”

Yingling represents the 62nd District, which contains portions of Gages Lake, Grayslake, Hainesville, the Round Lake communities, Third Lake, Wauconda and Wildwood. For more information, please contact Yingling’s full-time constituent service office at 847-231-6262 or repsamyingling@gmail.com
