Yingling Encourages Constituents to Keep in Touch with District Office During Spring Session

HAINESVILLE, Ill. – In an effort to increase community input in the legislative process, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Hainesville, is encouraging residents of the 62nd District to stay in touch while the Legislature is in session during the next few months.

“My top priority is to remain accessible to the people I represent and while I am in Springfield I want to make sure my constituents know the many different methods they can use to contact me,” Yingling said. “To be effective in Springfield, I need to hear directly from my constituents on the issues they care about. I encourage residents to take advantage of my website, the full-time district office, to write letters, and to make phone calls with any questions, concerns or ideas.”

Since taking office, Yingling has made it a top priority to be accessible to the residents of the 62nd District by hosting community events, extended office hours, and spending countless hours talking with constituents at their doors. Yingling’s website, www.repsamyingling.com contains many useful resources such as a “Suggest-A-Bill” feature which provides an alternative opportunity for residents to communicate their suggestions to Yingling on different ways to help move the state forward. Rep. Yingling also maintains a fully-staffed district office that is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“I understand that many residents have busy schedules and do not have the time to meet with me personally when I am back in the district; however, I want to make sure they know there are a multitude of ways they can contact me,” Yingling said. “I am dedicated to making myself available by providing many convenient methods of communication.”

Yingling represents the 62nd District, which contains portions of Gages Lake, Grayslake, Hainesville, the Round Lake communities, Wauconda and Wildwood. For more information, please contact Yingling’s full-time constituent service office at 847-231-6262 or repsamyingling@gmail.com
