Yingling Helps Provide $2,500 Grant to Local Youth Center

HAINESVILLE, Ill. – In an effort to help improve community services to area youth, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Hainesville, partnered with AT&T to provide a grant for $2,500 to The Oasis/Grayslake Youth Center.

“The Oasis Youth Center in Grayslake has contributed to the youth in our community every day in an impactful way since they started their operation in 2008,” Yingling said. “It is because of their commitment to our community and their daily efforts to improve the lives of young people right here that I recommended this excellent organization to AT&T as well-deserving recipient of a $2,500 grant.”

Since taking office, Yingling has worked tirelessly to be accessible to his constituents and to partner with numerous organizations in his community to better serve the residents of his district. The grant for $2,500 from AT&T was presented to the Oasis/Grayslake Youth Center Wednesday and will be used to help with programming costs for the center. The Oasis Youth Center in Grayslake works to provide teens with a safe and stimulating place to go after school and on weekends.
