Yingling Helps Secure $25,000 Grant for Round Lake School District

HAINESVILLE, Ill. – In an effort to improve local school facilities, state Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Hainesville, partnered with the Round Lake School District 116 and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to secure a state grant for $25,000 to be used for parking lot and school roadway repairs.

“On behalf of the Round Lake District 116, I would like to thank State Representative Sam Yingling for recognizing and advocating for our school district,” Superintendent Connie Collins said. “All funds which assist us, not only with paving but overcrowding and the provision of 21st century facilities for our students, is greatly appreciated.”

Since taking office, Yingling has worked tirelessly to be accessible to his constituents and to partner with all levels of government in order to better serve his district. The check for $25,000 from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity was presented to the Round Lake School District Monday night at their regular board meeting.

“I’m honored to have been able to secure these needed funds for the Round Lake School District,” Yingling said. “It’s important that all levels of government work together and I look forward to continuing a strong relationship with Dr. Connie Collins and the School Board.”
