Yingling to Host Job and Hiring Fair to Help Residents Get Back to Work

HAINESVILLE, Ill. – State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, is inviting residents of the 62nd district to attend a job and hiring fair on Wednesday, June 18 in Round Lake Beach. The fair will feature over 50 area employers and service agencies, a free resume workshop, and on-site interviews at the Round Lake Beach Civic and Cultural Center, 2007 N. Civic Center Way, in Round Lake Beach. Veterans can preview the job fair from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., and it will be open to the general public from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. To register for the job fair, residents can visit www.repsamyingling.com and click on the “Job Fair Registration” link on the home page.

“I want to make sure that new employment opportunities are brought to the attention of those in my district looking for work,” Yingling said. “Reducing unemployment in the district is one of my top priorities, and I want to make sure that my office is spending time to help people of our area find suitable employment.”

The job and hiring fair comes while several municipalities in Lake County are still battling high unemployment. Yingling also recently added a new “Job Announcements” page to his website, www.repsamyingling.com, as a response to the same issue. Yingling will continue to provide information about new job openings through a variety of outlets.
