'Big Al' is a Sweet Dog

Check out Save-A-Pet's animal of the week!

Big Al is my name….that’s short for Alaska.

I’m a super sweet guy, but my family got a new puppy and we didn’t get along. After all, when you are more mature, you sometimes don’t want to have to deal with the rambunctiousness of a puppy. So they decided that my time had come….but luckily someone rescued me and I came to Save-A-Pet.

I am in a foster home and she is kind of making me blush….just read what she wrote: "Al is a total gentlemen, he has never had an accident and can be trusted when home alone, none of that puppy stuff. He is even trained to stay out of the kitchen, knows basic commands, and even some extras like paw."

I’m still very active and in the evening love to curl up on the couch. I enjoy watching animals on TV and when I hear a siren, I usually sing with it. I also get along well with most dogs and even cats.

This Malamute is about 11 years old, neutered, up-to-date on routine shots and rabies, heartworm negative and on preventative and microchipped.
