Christmas Tree Pick-Ups Scheduled for Jan. 16 and 23 in Grayslake

Trees are also being accepted by the Lake County Forest Preserves.

Still looking to have your Christmas tree picked up?

The Village of Grayslake pushed back its tree pick-up program by a week due to the weather, so tree pick-ups are scheduled for Jan. 16 and 23, according to the village website.

According to the village website, trees should be placed at the curb or edge of the street the night before the scheduled pick-up day. Trees should not be bagged, and trees that are taller than 6 feet must be cut in half.

Contact the village at (847) 223-8515 for more information.

The Lake County Forest Preserves also has several drop-off locations for Christmas trees, which will be chipped and used for trails and landscaping at forest preserves throughout Lake County. Trees will be accepted through Feb. 1. Click here for more information.
