Grayslake Principals Vying to 'Kiss the Pig' at Summer Days

Who will get your vote to "Kiss the Pig" at Grayslake's Summer Days?

Be on the lookout around town for donation cans for the annual "Kiss the Pig" contest at Grayslake's Summer Days.

Three school principals—John Bolger from Grayslake Central High School, Jim Roscoe from Grayslake North High School and Marcus Smith from Grayslake Middle School, are in the running to do the deed.

The administrator who gets the most donations will smooch some pork at 5 p.m. Aug. 17, during Grayslake Summer Days.

Every dollar donated goes to the Rotary Club of Grayslake to fund local programs and scholarships.

Last year, the owners of Ashley Alwin Salon kissed the pig, reported Patch. The event raised about $600 for the Kiwanis Club.
