The event was held Feb. 17 at Gurnee Community Church.

Teen Mother Choices hosted their second Chili Cook-Off at Gurnee Community Church on Sunday, Feb. 17.

Eleven local chefs created their favorite homemade chili specialties and were judged by area pastors and Gurnee Chief of Police Fred Friedl.

John Shaw of Gurnee won the judges’ vote for best tasting chili. Later, contestants from the audience went up against area pastors along with WGN reporter Marcus Leshock for a pie-eating contest.
