Surviving the Holidays is a warm, encouraging and helpful event. Featuring video instruction and group discussion, it helps you deal with emotional pain, loneliness and grief during the holiday season. There will be There will be two separate group session, one for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one (GriefShare) and another for those who are dealing with the challenge and pain of separation or divorce (Divorce Care).

Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Launches New Lung Cancer Screening Program

Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital has launched a new lung cancer screening program to promote the early detection of lung cancer. Through the screening program, low-dose CT scans will be recommended for people who meet a series of criteria, based largely on age and smoking history.

North Suburban Symphony rocks to hit songs by the Beatles, Chicago, Moody Blues, etc.

The North Suburban Symphony, based in Lake Forest at Gorton Community Center, invites the community to attend and participate in a celebration of its 25th Anniversary Season on Sunday, November 17 at 4 p.m. This is Ron Arden’s 7th season as music director and conductor of this fine community orchestra. Musicians travel from as far away as Chicago, McHenry, Morton Grove, and Wisconsin to be part of the orchestra.

The Village of Niles & Niles Fire Department announce the official kickoff to the 10th annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve/Village of Niles Toys for Tots Drive & Community Food Drive. Toys for Tots is a charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve that provides toys to children in need during the holiday season.
