Nominations Accepted for YWCA Women of Achievement Awards

Know a woman who has done outstanding things for her community? Nominate her for the YWCA Women of Achievement Awards.

The YWCA Lake County will honor four outstanding women who exemplify the mission of the YWCA brand, encouraging and supporting justice for women, children and families, according to a release from the YWCA.

If there is someone whom you feel should receive this prestigious honor, fill out the nomination form on the YWCA website at www.ywcalakecounty.org.

The nominees will be recognized at the 35th Annual YWCA Lake County Women of Achievement Awards Dinner. The event will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 31 at the .

Categories include: Art & Culture, Business, Civic Leader and Entrepreneurship. This award is presented to women who reside in Lake County and the Chicagoland area.

The women recognized are those who reach out in their respective communities, serving as role models for youth and families, according to the YWCA. Their integrity and hardwork are the true testament to the leadership and contributions that women make at home, work and in the community.

YWCA Lake County is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women andpromoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
