Peterson Widening Likely to Be Approved Tuesday

Lake County officials are expected to approve the project to widen Peterson Road to help enhance it as a growth corridor.

Lake County officials are expected to approve more than $10.8 million Tuesday for the construction project to widen Peterson Road from Franklin Boulevard in Libertyville to just west of Route 83 in Grayslake, according to an article in the Daily Herald.

The project, which would begin this spring, would rebuild and widen the road so that there are two through lanes in each direction and a turn lane where needed, the article states. There will also be a bike path on the north side of the road. The project is part of a county initiative to create a growth corridor there.
