CAC's Holiday Party Brings Joy to Abuse Victims

More than 128 children and family members arrived at Children’s Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County in Hoffman Estates to visit with Santa and enjoy gifts, activities and music. The party was made possible through donations of food, gifts and gift cards.

Northbrook Boy Takes Magic Show to Israel, Cheers Up Sick Children at Hadassah Hospital

Jacob David “Jakey” Korol of Northbrook knew he wanted to do his mitzvah project for his upcoming Bar Mitzvah in Israel. He did, performing his magic show at a hospital in Israel. Dozens of children, some in wheelchairs, came for the family’s magic show on Sunday, Dec. 22 at Hadassah Hospital which included card tricks, disappearing water, and even a black rabbit in a hat. “I feel good making sick kids feel better,” said who also read the Torah at Robinson’s Arch near the Kotel on December 26, 2013.

Winter Frost

The drive to work this morning was magical. There was a light fog that put everything in a soft-focus. Plus, vegetation was glistening with a delicate layer of hoar frost.
