ViewFinder: Easter Egg Hunt at the Fairgrounds

Easter eggs and family fun could not be dampened by the weather during the community Easter Egg Hunt at the Lake County Fairgrounds.

It was rainy, windy and cold during the Community Easter Egg Hunt at the Lake County Fairgrounds. last week. But the children and their parents still enjoyed themselves and found eggs in the shelter of the animal pens. The three inches of mud on the field where the hunt would have been didn't stop the fun.

ReMax Grayslake sponsored the event. Rich Capoccioni, broker/owner at ReMax, said they were grateful that the Lake County Fair Association let them use the animal barns to have some protection from the weather. Over 80 individuals or companies also donated prizes, including a grand prize fro Key Lime Cove in Gurnee. People attending the Egg Hunt brought food to donate to the Round Lake and Avon Township Food Pantry, so it was good for everyone.
