Washington Street Closed For Five Days

Railroad crossing repairs on Washington Street west of Lake Street will force drivers to detour.

Drivers, be ready. The Canadian National Railroad has closed the railroad crossing on Washington Street in Grayslake beginning today, May 31. The closure is expected to last approximately five days.

Washington Street should reopen in the evening of Saturday, June 4, according to the Lake County PASSAGE.

Drivers will detour from Route 83 to Rollins Road to Hainesville Road. Local traffic will be allowed from Route 83 to the crossing and from Hainesville Road to the crossing.
