ABBA Mania recreates the chart-topping songs from the 1980s created by Swedish band.

The world’s number one touring ABBA Tribute Concert comes to the Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal Lake this weekend.

The show starts at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Raue, 26 N. Williams St., Crystal Lake.

A Raue Center audience favorite, ABBA Mania has entertained groups, date nights and music aficionados of all kinds, according to a Raue Center press release.

ABBA Mania formed in 1999, and the show has been selling out theaters and concert halls internationally ever since. This show has toured the world in its quest to bring the music of the Swedish supergroup to their millions of fans, old and new.

ABBA Mania has ventured to France, Denmark, Belgium, Spain, South Africa, New Zealand, Singapore, U.S.A., Australia and South Korea as well as touring the United Kingdom extensively, the press release states.

Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny and Anni-Frid, collectively known as ABBA, dominated the charts for nearly ten years and enjoyed nine UK number one hits. At the pinnacle of their career, the group became Sweden’s highest export earners - outselling Volvo cars, according to the Raue press release.

In the early 1980s, the members of ABBA decided to go their separate ways, but their music lives on.  ‘ABBA Gold’ was continuously in the Album Charts throughout the 1990s and is one of the biggest selling albums ever.

ABBA Mania is a performance filled with two hours of uplifting, dance-inducing and sometimes heart-breaking songs, fully live with fantastic staging, lighting and effects.

The show recreates ABBA’s sound not only perfectly, but respectfully too.

If you’re looking for an excuse to party, reminisce, or simply be entertained by the best music ever, call the box office at 815-356-9212 or visit rauecenter.org. Tickets start at $47 and are on sale now.
