Jazz Combo Workshop Concert

Hear students perform jazz live and for free on Sunday Aug. 5th from 2-4 pm at the Grayslake Central Park Pavilion (behind the swimming pool). 18 students who have been building their improvisational skills in the Sunday Night and Monday Night Combos will perform. Led by Paul Nielsen and Bill Chapin as part of the Grayslake Jazz Combo Workshop (GJCW), the students will perform jazz standards and then "take a ride" on each tune. See concert flier.

Sunday Night Combo, directed by Paul Nielsen: Savanah Hendricks (drums), Bethany Hobart (trombone), Alex Kern (tenor), Travis Ritchie (piano, alto sax), Matthew Silverberg (mellophone), Matthew Soriano (alto sax), Robert Teets (alto sax), and Sarah Wasik (guitar).

Monday Night Combo, directed by Bill Chapin: Jeremy Ferris (tenor), Rachel Harmon (piano), Michael Higdon (alto), Fox Hobart (trumpet), Eli Karris (trombone), Chris Mohrfeld (alto), Brandon Murchison (tenor), Noah Schuetter (guitar & trumpet), Craig Starbird (alto), and Mitch Willming (trumpet).
