  • Why Go: Listen to the band John Williams and Friends perform traditional Irish music at this event titled "It's never too late for St. Patrick's Day." John Williams is internationally regarded as one of the foremost players of Irish music today. With five All-Ireland titles to his credit, John is the only American-born competitor ever to win first place in the Senior Concertina category. His additional talents on flute, button accordion, bodhran, and piano distinguish him as a much sought after multi-instrumentalist in the acoustic scene around the world. John is a founding member of Irish supergroup Solas and has appeared on stage with Nickel Creek, The Chieftains, Riverdance, The Grand Ol' Opry, A Prairie Home Companion, and the Metropolis Symphony Orchestra. He has composed "Perdition Piano Duet" for actors Paul Newman and Tom Hanks in Dreamworks' Chicago thriller Road to Perdition.
