Metropolis Quartet Performs at Byron Colby Barn Tonight

Enjoy an evening of classical music at the Byron Colby Barn at Prairie Crossing in Grayslake at 7 p.m. tonight, Sunday, Jan. 27.

Explore the greatest chamber music of the Classical and Baroque eras with Metropolis Quartet at 7 p.m. tonight at Byron Colby Barn.

For nearly a decade, this talented group of musicians has performed stellar renditions of both famous masterpieces and lesser-known gems.

Deb Stevenson (oboe), Thomas Yang (violin), Doyle Armbrust (viola), and Steven Houser (cello) share their extensive musical knowledge and passion with a sparking mix of wonderful compositions, memorable melodies, and fun conversations with audience members.

The 18th Century chamber music will feature pieces by Giardini, JC Bach, Marcello, Gatti, Telemann and Druschetzky.

Admission is $18 for adults at the door only (cash or check). To inspire early appreciation for the arts, children under 16 are admitted free of charge to Early Music Series concerts.

Performances at the Byron Colby Barn are BYOB, so feel free to bring a bottle of wine to share with friends. Ample free parking is located adjacent to the barn.
