Young, Local Musician to Perform at Heritage Center
The Lake Villa native offers an 'edgy, sweet and sincere' flair to her music.
The is hosting a free concert by 17-year-old Sarah Jo Helgeson on Wednesday, August 15 at 7 p.m. The Lake Villa native offers up metaphor-laced lyrics and a folky sound that has been described as "sometimes edgy, often sweet, and always sincere."
With the release of her four-song E.P., Recollect and Forget, earlier this year, Helgeson launched her solo performing career and has enjoyed playing venues throughout Lake County and Wisconsin.

The Grayslake Heritage Center and Museum, located at 164 Hawley Street, includes 7,600-square-feet of exposition, education, archival and meeting spaces, and provides a community room for public use.
