Sheriff's Office Conducting Special Enforcements

The enforcements will be held in Lake County Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office will be out in force over the upcoming Labor Day Weekend. Several special enforcement events have been scheduled and include the following:

Friday, Aug. 31, LCSO will be conducting an eight-hour detail concentrating on construction zone violations, including speeding and the use of cellular phones or other electronic devices within the boundaries of the zones;

Saturday, Sept. 1, the LCSO will be assisting Gurnee Police Department with a Roadside Safety Check at Six Flags Great America (see Gurnee Police Department release);

Sunday, Sept. 2, a four-hour DUI Enforcement/Traffic Enforcement will be conducted by LCSO.

“Our Office conducts these events in an ongoing effort to ensure the safety of the motorists utilizing the roadways of Lake County,” said Sheriff Mark Curran.  “We hope these events serve as a deterrent to drivers who would otherwise violate traffic laws.”
