Winter Storm Watch in Effect Today

How much snow could fall today?

Another blast of winter weather could be headed our way.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for this afternoon and evening for part of northern Illinois, including Grayslake and throughout Lake and McHenry Counties.

Overall, the National Weather Service has forecast snow totals of 6 inches or more. The precipitation is expected to start as rain and then transition to snow sometime during the afternoon.
