For months, residents have been wondering what was going into that big lot next to the Chase Bank on E. Route 120 near Atkinson Road. The wait is over.
The store sells to the public and commercial customers alike, offering a wide range of auto parts and maintenance items like windshield wipers and batteries, which they will install for free. The store also offers customers a complimentary check of their vehicle's electrical system and old battery before they consider purchasing a new one.
In addition, customers can drop off used motor oil and old batteries for recycling.
General Manager Terry Holley, who will lead the store's staff of 10, said they are ready to be at the community's service.
"Advance Auto Parts is committed to bringing our promise, "Service is our best part.'"
To show their commitment, he added, "We are pleased to announce a $1,000 check has been donated to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)."
Company officials said they chose this location for the store because it’s convenient to where their customers live and shop as well as the garages where they take their vehicles for repair.
