By best live performance, this could be bands playing in bars, stand-up comedy shows, folk singers in coffee shops -- basically we are looking for the place that has the best live performances in the area!

You know the drill: All you need to do is sign into our site and then comment below with your vote. Feel free to elaborate on why this place's live performances are fabulous.

You have until 5 p.m. Tuesday to let us know your favorite go-to place for a good sandwich.

On Wednesday morning, we will post the top three finalists — determined by your votes in this article, on Facebook and on Twitter — in a poll. And it will be time to vote again — this time for the weekly Best Of champion.

Voting will continue through 5 p.m. Friday. We will post the Showdown winner first thing Saturday morning.

Inovasi restaurant in Lake Bluff is an outstanding place to see live music. The acoustics there are off the charts good because of all the hardwood, tile, and glass- but I think it is the intimate bar area that really makes watching local musicians perform there so special. The musicians are not forced to over amplify which gives the audience an opportunity to enjoy one anothers company while witnessing artists do their work. Add in the amazing food, cocktails, an unbeleivable wine list & friendly staff and Inovasi is without a doubt the best place for live music in Lake County.

Acoustically, it's hard to beat the Byron Colby Barn at Prairie Crossing.

I'd say the summer courtyard concert series at Cellar Gate Wine Market in Highwood. Year round wise, I'd saw that the Tap House in Highwood has great music every Saturday night.
