When and how did your business get started? Cacao started in 2009 just after my husband and I both lost our jobs. One little 4th of July craft fair and I never stopped!
What is your business best known for? Natural, organic, made-from-scratch desserts. Especially cupcakes, but certainly our brownies, cakes, cheesecake, s'mores bars and so much more!
Does your business offer a special deals card or program? Cupcake and Drink Punch Cards—buy 12, get one free!
What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know? That we truly make every item fresh from natural and organic ingredients every single day. So many of our favorite bakeries bake once a week and hope it lasts. That would NEVER happen at Cacao. You are getting the freshest possible product my hands can create. I even make my own peanut butter and vanilla extract!
Why did you choose to open your business in Grayslake? I always wanted to open a shop in the Grayslake area, because a GOOD bakery has been lacking in northern Lake County.
