Five area Chambers of Commerce are uniting for a Business-2-Business Roundup & Taste with a theme of "Who To Know...Where To Go." The event includes networking with chamber members from Grayslake, GLMV, Lake County, Lincolnshire and Wauconda.
The event allows companies to showcase products, services and resources, and network with area business leaders. It runs from noon to 7 p.m. Oct. 6 inside the main building at the Lake County Fairgrounds, at the corner of Route 137 (Peterson Road) and Midlothian Roads in Grayslake.
Craig Culver, the CEO of Culver's, will speak from 2:30-3:30 p.m to share how he took butter burgers, frozen custard and a mantra of friendly service and made it into a successful niche-market restaurant.
The Taste portion of the event includes 60 area restaurants who will sell beverages, small portions and samples of their food for $1 to $5. There will also be raffle prizes awarded every 30 minutes, giveaways and networking opportunities.
The first 1,000 visitors receive a free raffle ticket. Admission to the event is free with a business card.
