Easter Bunny Bar Hop

Enjoy a night out and do something good for others.

A new event combines Grayslake businesses with a charity fundraiser.

The Easter Bunny Bar Hop begins around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31.

"We are on a mission to fill 75 Easter baskets," said Brendan Rafferty, one of the event organizers. The baskets will be donated to the House of Peace Shelter's (http://houseofpeaceshelter.org/) Phoenix Domestic Violence Program, an organization that helps abused women and children.

"People who attend the event are asked to bring an item to each bar to donate to the Easter baskets, and in return, they pick an egg which may contain a prize from many local sponsors," Rafferty said.

Donated items can be anything that would be placed in an Easter basket, such as candy, colors, coloring books, fake grass, jelly beans, bubbles or small toys.

"Participants will then pick an egg at each bar," Rafferty said. "There will be specials at each bar and good times for all. So come on out with a warm heart and let's make some Easter wishes come true for those who need it most."

Business sponsors for the Easter Bunny Bar Hop include: , , , Bulldogs, , , A2B Boardshop, , Joe Hammer Entertainment, Perfectionista Planning, , A-Mobile Inc., and more.

"The support from the businesses has been terrific," Rafferty said. "People should come out for this because it's easy and it's fun. How hard is it to go out the bar and have a good time?"

People can start at any business they prefer and move on at their own pace. For more info, visit the Facebook page for this event.
