Federal Shutdown Could Delay Opening of Suburban Distillery

Copper Fiddle Distillery, which is slated to have a 2,100-square-foot storefront along Route 22, may need to delay its opening, according to the Daily Herald.

Plans to open a small distillery later this year in Lake Zurich may be put on hold due to the federal government shutdown, according to the Daily Herald.

Jose Hernandez and golf professional Fred Robinson, both of Hawthorn Woods, are waiting on approval of its labels from the U.S. Treasury Department's Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau for its business, Copper Fiddle Distillery, which will be located on Route 22, according to the article.

The owners had hoped to open their craft whiskey distillery by November or December, according to an earlier Patch article.
