Green Jobs Forum for Earth-Friendly Careers

Learn about jobs that are good for the earth today from noon to 2 p.m. at the College of Lake County in Grayslake.

Learn how to go green in your career and discover opportunities in green industries during the Green Jobs Forum. The event will be held today, April 27, from noon to 2 p.m. at the in Grayslake, Room C002.

"The event is free to anyone interested in pursuing careers in green and sustainability-related fields," said Dara Reiff, sustainability coordinator for the College of Lake County.

"The event is put on by the College of Lake County Sustainability and Green Economy Center, which works to promote sustainable practices on our campus, in our curriculum, and across the community," Reiff said.

She added that the goal is to bring green building educational and networking opportunities for students and emerging professionals to the northern and northwestern Illinois region.

"This is the first event of its kind," Reiff said, "and we are very excited to provide this opportunity to our students and community members interested in learning more about green jobs."

The event is sponsored by the CLC Sustainability and Green Economy Center, in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council Illinois-Chapter North/Northwest Suburban branch, Emerging Professionals Committee.
