Gurnee Dominick's to Become Mariano's

Mariano's Fresh Market will purchase the Dominick's store at 6655 Grand Ave. in Gurnee, according to Crain's Chicago Business.

The Gurnee store is one of 11 that the grocery chain, owned by Roundy's, will acquire, according to Crain's. The stores are expected to be converted into Mariano's stores one to two months after they are acquired.

The news comes as Dominick's prepares to close all 72 of its Chicago market stores
Other stores included in the purchase include the Dominick's locations in Northfield, Park Ridge and Buffalo Grove, according to the Tribune.

Roundy's is discussing its 11-store purchase during a conference call at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 2.
