Shuttered Entwined Finds New Life as 'Bloom Room'

New floral business grows from Entwined.

Less than a month after closing Entwined Floral in downtown Grayslake, Kelly Chase and Kate Price have opened a new business venture just down the street—The Bloom Room, at 146 Center.

"We love our quaint new location! It provides us with enough space to concentrate on what we do best—floral arrangements," said owner Kelly Chase in a Patch announcement posted Thursday.

“We are so happy to still be able to serve the Grayslake area. It is such great town to do business in."

The Bloom Room specializes in rustic chic, with items that created out of recycled products.

"We love to repurpose old items into something new and different," said partner Kate Rice.

The Bloom Room is open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call (847) 223-6200 or e-mail thebloomroomgrayslake@aol.com.

The Bloom Room is now open!

Barbs Florist, Entwined, Eventfully Entwined and now The Bloom Room. In such a short time you have opened and closed the same type of business. Makes me wonder why>? I felt disheartened to read you were going out of business due to the "economy", "big box" competitors, then to re-read the change on your windows 2 weeks later announcing yet another new business name, just a few doors down. I get the rent issues but 4 business names in a short span? Skeptical Good luck, 4th time hopefully does it for you.

Thank Hal. Jen, we bought Barbs and renamed it Entwined. There were four of us ladies. Two of the ladies left leaving Kate and I. Then along came another another partner with big dreams for th company. Dreams of a much bigger plan of event decorating, catering and flowers. Eventfully Entwined was born from that. Things didn't go as planned and that partner then left. Kate and I thought we would have to close down, yes due to economy and the big box stores hurting our business. We then found a smaller space to continue doing what we love, florals. We now understand that we alone can do this together without any other partners and will succeed this time!!
