Woodland District 50 + Domino’s Pizza = “Raise the Dough”

Local parents’ organization nets $1,030.40 from local fundraiser

Grayslake, IL, December 10, 2013:  One of northern Illinois’ most successful fundraising combinations joined hands once again this Fall for another winning promotion.  The parents’ organization for Woodland School District 50 teamed up with the Domino’s Pizza stores in Gurnee and Grayslake to raise $1,030.40 for school projects.  The fundraiser is designed to raise money for various education-related purposes for the local school.

“We are excited about the success of our most recent fundraiser,” said Steve Chiodo, President of Chiodo Corporation and Franchisee of Domino’s Pizza in Gurnee.  “We had an outstanding event this year.  The success is a tribute to the parents of students at Woodland School District 50.  We are proud of our partnership with them and look forward to another fundraiser with them next Spring!”

Domino’s Pizza donates $1.35 for every order delivered as part of the promotion and $2.00 if the customer picks up their order at the store.  Domino’s also donates a free pizza party for the homerooms in each grade responsible for raising the most money.  This Fall’s winners were students in the classrooms of (from Kindergarten through 5th Grade) Mrs. Marquardt, Mrs. Enquist, Mrs. Mardehow, Mrs. Gradner, Mrs. Rejczyk and Mrs.Sebald.  “The pizza parties always help motivate the students,” said Robbie Hudrick, Operating Partner for Chiodo Corporation.  “Without a doubt, the parties are an essential ingredient of our success.”

Hudrick also had high praise for the large number of people who helped make the promotion a success.  “The students are terrific, as they always bring a lot of excitement and energy to the promotion,” he said.  “We’d also like to thank the faculty and staff for distributing information about the promotion . . . and special thanks goes to Pam Horn for organizing the event.”

The large Woodland School District includes some students who live in the Domino’s Pizza delivery area in Gurnee, while others live in the Grayslake delivery area.  As always, the two stores collaborated to help assure the success of the fundraiser.  “Cooperation between the stores is an important part of this promotion,” continued Chiodo.  “Employees of the Grayslake and Gurnee Domino’s Pizza stores deserve a hand, too:  after all, it takes a lot of hard work to assure timely deliveries.”
