Home Run for Education is a coed 14-inch softball tournament benefiting the D46 Foundation.  The single-elimination tournament will begin at 9am and continue until one team stands victorious! The event will be followed by an awards ceremony at the Vine on Center St in downtown Grayslake.

Home Run for Education is open to all members of the community who are 18 years of age or older. You do not need to be a D46 parent to participate! Donations raised through Home Run for Education help support:

  • Academic Enrichment Scholarship Fund for participation in Science Olympiad and Scholastic Bowl
  • Classroom Mini-Grants
  • D46 Destination ImagiNation
  • Hovercraft Project

Don’t miss out on the fun! Round up some friends to form a team or register as an individual and we’ll try to place you on a team. Can’t play? Join us as a spectator to enjoy music and a fine display of community sportsmanship in support of our children.

A cash prize of $600 will be awarded to the championship team. Benefits to all teams include:

  • Tournament entry for 10-15 players
  • Commemorative t-shirts for each team player on teams who register by August 27
  • Voucher for one free beverage at the Vine (limitations may apply)
  • A memorable and fun experience you can be proud of - supporting our kids!
