Case of Tuberculosis Confirmed in District 127

Lake County Health Department is working with the district to test others.

The Lake County Health Department notified officials at Grayslake Community High School District 127 that a member of the Grayslake North school community has been diagnosed with a confirmed case of Tuberculosis.

Grayslake North has been working with the Lake County Health Department
to identify those students and staff members who have come into relatively close contact with this person and to provide them appropriate information about testing for TB, officials said in a statement.

All staff members and students have received a letter with further details and general information about Tuberculosis along with contact information for the Lake County Health Department’s TB Clinic. Those students and staff members who have been identified as having close contact with this person have received specific information regarding testing.

Grayslake North High School will continue to provide support to staff, students, and families as these health concerns are addressed.

"We are complying with everything the Health Department says to do," said Superintendent Catherine Finger. "We want to ensure everyone's safety and to share the necessary information with the community."
