Dick Clark Passes Away at 82

Television legend suffered a heart attack Wednesday morning.

Dick Clark passed away Wednesday morning after suffering a massive heart attack.

According to the Huffington Post, Clark had been at St. John's Hospital in L.A. Tuesday after undergoing an outpatient procedure.

Clark was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 1994, which he kept private until 2004, the year he suffered a stroke that forced him to retire as host of "New Years' Rockin' Eve."

Clark had hosted and produced a number of television and radio shows, including TV's Bloopers, "American Bandstand" and "New Year's Rockin' Eve." Clark also served as a longtime Top 40 radio countdown host and hosted five versions of the game show "Pyramid."
