Where/When: Historic Downtown Grayslake, Center Street, Grayslake; 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday, June 18.

Why Go?: The 16th Annual Grayslake Arts Festival will feature the work of over 70 juried artists and a high school exhibit. There will be children's activities, food vendors and entertainment throughout the day .

Where/When: y, 32400 Harris Rd., Grayslake; 9 - 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 18.

Why Go?: Take a tour of a yard in Lincolshire, hear stories and advice from the homeowners on how your property can be beautiful while contributing to surrounding ecosystems. This event is for adults only. Call 847-548-5989 for more information on the location.

Pricing: $8 for conservancy members; $13 for non-members

Where/When: ; 12:30 - 6:30 p.m., Sunday, June 19.

Why Go?: Live music by two popular bands, amazing items for a silent auction and a live auction, raffles, prizes and pizza to support the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Donna and Jennifer Radke, the mother/daughter team of sales associates at RE/MAX Center in Grayslake, are holding this event in honor of their daughter/sister, Michelle, who died at the age of 29 in 1997 from complications of diabetes which was first diagnosed when she was 2 years old. Donna and Michelle want to help other children and their families who face the same kinds of challenges they did.

Pricing: $10 donation

Where/When: Downtown Libertyville; 10 a.m. - 11 p.m., Friday, June 17; 7 a.m. - 11 p.m., Saturday, June 18; 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., Sunday, June 19.

Why Go?: Carnival for all ages, children's rides, live music, a Taste of Libertyville on Church Street, a beer garden in the Civic Center parking lot, a parade, talent show, watermelon eating contest, arts and craft fair and much more. The Libertyville Days Parade is Saturday at 10 a.m. It starts at the train station, travels down Milwaukee and ends at Rockland Road.

Where/When: Country Inn Restaurant at ; 10 a.m., Sunday, June 19.

Why Go?: Bring Dad to Lambs Farm and enjoy a tasty buffet of country fried chicken, french toast, omelets made-to-order and desserts. Seatings are at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. Call 847-362-5050 to make a reservation.

Pricing: $19.95 for adults; $10.95 for children ages 2 - 12; Free for children 23 months and under
