Where / When: , 160 E. Cook Ave., Libertyville; 6 - 9 p.m., Friday, April 1.

Why Go?: Shop downtown Libertyville merchants while being entertained by a jazz band or a classical guitarist, view an art exhibit and have some hors d'oeuvres.

Where / When: Sedge Meadow Forest Preserve/Wetlands Research Project, on Wadsworth Road, east of Rte. 41, west of the Des Plaines River Trail in Wadsworth; 9 - 10 a.m., Saturday, April 2.

Why Go?: Take a one-hour guided nature hike through the Sedge Meadow Forest Preserve. For adults only.

Pricing: $1 for Lake County residents; $2 for non-residents

Where / When: Duke's Ale House, 110 W. Main St., Crystal Lake; 2 p.m., Saturday, April 2.

Why Go?: Start out at Duke's and end up at The Brink Street Bar & Grill at about 6 p.m. for an after party and prizes. Proceeds will be donated to the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry in Lake Zurich which serves six area townships in Lake and McHenry counties.

Pricing: $20 in advance; $25 at the door

 Where / When: Improv Playhouse, 735 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville; 7:30 - 8:30 p.m., Saturday, April 2.

Why Go?: Comedy show in the style of "Whose Line Is It?" with hilarious eight-member Improv Playhouse Comedy Troupe Lost Not Stolen.

Pricing: $7; $5 for IP students

Where / When:; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Saturday, April 2 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 3.

Why Go?: Hundreds of booths with hand-crafted, unique and original items.

Pricing: $3 admission

Where / When: Middlefork Savanna, in Lake Forest on Waukegan Rd., north of Rte. 60 and south of Rte. 176; 6 - 7:30 p.m., Sunday, April 3.

Why Go?: Listen to the sounds of courting frogs that inhabit the waters of Lake County. Learn about the lifestyle of Froggy, the vocal amphibian, and its role as an environmental indicator. For adults only.

Pricing: $6 per adult for Lake County residents; $8 for non-residents
